Stay and Play
Our children love to spend an extra few hours in school playing with their friends. We offer an extended day option where children can stay and play after lunch from 1pm-2pm or 1pm-3pm. This program is available Mondays and Thursdays. Families can sign up for the whole year for the day(s) of their choice or as needed, space permitting.

Field Trips
The Co-op thoroughly understands the importance of learning from the outside world and gaining first-hand knowledge based on experience. Therefore, each class participates in two scheduled field trips throughout the year, one in the Fall and Spring.

In the Fall, the younger children go to Sun High Orchards in Randolph, New Jersey which combines educational stations reviewing the importance of bees in our environment, the biodegrability of corn and farming apples. In the Spring, the children visit Fosterfield’s in Morristown, New Jersey to experience the life of a working farm and how people lived back in the 1920’s.

The older children visit Cooper Gristmill in Chester, New Jersey in the Fall to further understand how wheat is farmed and turned into flour. They also go to the County College’s Planetarium in the Spring to learn about the planet Earth and our solar system.

In addition, the teacher’s take advantage of our local neighborhood by offering nature walks to explore with the children.

* Children that do not attend the Co-op, may attend the enrichment programs, however, registration is required.
